NEW AWARD FOR THE COLTS

Lomond Colts were formed in September 2006, the club developed through the philosophy of participation for all, regardless of ability.

As some children dont make the "First Team", or are always on the bench, or worse left out altogether, we as a club made the decision to allow all to participate.

Our philosophy is to have FUN, and pay no attention to any competative scores.

With the support of the Lomond Centre we integrated a coaching programme for children from as early as three up to under 15 level.

Our classes have grown, with over 125 children a week going through the programme.

The success of our programme can be measured, in that in such a short period we as a club have been awarded a Scottish Football Association Quality Mark.

We are full  members of a number of organisations, Volunteer Scotland, Youth First, CRBS, Scottish Youth Football Association,  Show Racism The Red Card (Scotland)

 & Sports Leaders.

We saw two coaches from Holland  from the very successful "Voetbalschooltechnique" travel to Glenrothes to coach our under 15's. This link will be strengthened with coaches travelling over to Holland this year.

In October 2007 Paul Kenyion will arrive from Nigeria, where he is a professional footballer. He will join the coaching staff for a month.

Our coaching staff now stands at 16 SFA Qualified Coaches.

The summer months saw our coaching staff undertake a number of SFA Coaching Certificates, with  coaches being qualified up to SFA level Three.

The coaching staff have now joined with their representative squads, 1998's, two at 1997's 1999's & 200/2001, and not forgetting our Girls only programme.

Please note that this is OUR CLUB, and its success is down to the work of the parents, children & coaches to make us a GREAT CLUB.

Fife Coaching Academy & lomond Colts are always looking for new players & coaches. If you feel that we are a community club with the childrens best interest at heart then come along to training and speak to the staff or email, johnfca@hotmail.co.uk

Standard Award

The focus at Standard Award is to ensure that basic club operating standards are in place. Putting basic criteria in place will make for a more robust and sustainable club structure. Participating clubs should consist of one or more teams.

By establishing a basic club structure, the Scottish FA will continue to work with clubs who wish to grow to "Development Club" status. This Standard Award is also aimed at those Clubs who cannot grow their club due to geography or demographics but where quality of football provision is clearly demonstrable. An example of this being clubs in the more remote areas of Scotland.
